Summary

The renowned Mãos (RIP) has gone at James and Christie Brown’s hipster retail happening in Shoreditch – ‘The Blue Mountain School’ – to be replaced by this late 2022 newcomer. A bigger (and more conventional) two-floor operation is promised, overseen by Theo Clench, who till recently was the executive chef at Fitzrovia’s funky West African, Akoko and here we’re told to expect a menu reflecting east Asia and Australasia. One course will be dedicated to bread alone, apparently, and guests will eat part of their meal behind the pass.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
