Harden's says

Formerly exec chef at The Treby Arms in Devon (and then, briefly, at Plymouth's Brown & Bean) Anton Piotrowski shifted north and opened this 35-cover restaurant in late 2017 following a crowd-funding campaign. The venture serves seasonal British tasting menus with a nod to Piotrowski's Polish roots.

“Amazing food and good value compared to equivalent standards elsewhere” help inspire ongoing high ratings for MasterChef: The Professionals winner, Anton Piotrowski’s stylishly sparse venue. Its 8-course tasting menu for £85 wins it very high ratings from fans. The only gripe? – “wish they had smaller menus in the evening: by the final courses I am just too full!”

“Literally nothing could have been done better” – the tenor of reports on BBC MasterChef: The Professionals winner Anton Piotowski's upmarket but “relaxed” mid century-style dining room. The “very innovative” tasting menu (“an edible beetle has been known to appear”) “blew away” most reporters and represents “very good value for money” compared to London prices.

This city-centre three-year-old from “incredibly talented chef” Anton Piotrowski, a BBC MasterChef: The Professionals winner, “is really getting it right now – great to see such a risky enterprise doing so well”. “What an unexpected delight – just another bistro from the outside, but inside it’s quickly clear it’s so much more”. “The tasting menu includes some very adventurous offerings” and on all accounts the food is “beautifully plated and tastes gorgeous”.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
